As a mom of two young boys my days are filled with hugs, wrestling, playing, mediating fights, and kissing boo-boos. I’m not naive to the fact that these days are numbered and soon, they are going to spend more time with their peers than with their mom (insert tears here).
While I was going for a walk the other day and listening to an audiobook about parenthood, the author talked about the importance of creating a home environment where your children feel safe and comfortable. If they associate their home with these feelings, they are more likely to WANT to spend time at home as they get older. When children (adolescents and young adults included) feel safe and comfortable they are also more likely to share about their lives- open up about their feelings, struggles, and dreams.

The author talked about ways she tries to create a welcoming home environment- fresh baked goods (cookies, muffins, breads), soothing background music, and CANDLES. Lucky for our boys, we are in the candle making business!
Because our memories can be strongly associated with our senses, candles are a perfect way to help trigger that sense of comfort. I light a candle every time I clean the house, or on those cold winter nights. Now that my boys are getting a little bigger, I let them pick a scent they want to burn in their rooms. Whether it’s the scent of pine, pumpkin and cinnamon, or sage and rosemary I want them to feel the comfort of home, and as the years pass, always come back because of it .
Let us help you fill your space with the scents that make a house feel like a welcoming home. Check out our website or click the link below to find all the different candles we have available ! We confident you can find something that is the perfect fit for your home!
Warm Regards,
